Former Editor
After retiring as Director of Belmont’s Publishing Program, Richard Sowienski founded Write Your Life Workshops teaching creative nonfiction and the college admission essay to urban high school students. In addition to his work with Belmont Story Review, he also served as managing editor for The Missouri Review. His work has appeared in national consumer/lifestyle magazines and literary journals. He holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School.
